Yoga Therapy and/or Trauma Sensitive YogaFaith

I schedule a limited amount of private, one-on-one yoga therapy, Trauma Sensitive YogaFaith, and Relax & Renew® restorative yoga sessions. Sessions can be geared towards post-injury/surgery recovery; anxiety and depression; relaxation and restoration from the stressful demands of life; as well as exploring the somatic impact of trauma in a person’s body. Embodied Spiritual Direction

Rooted & Reaching Embodied Care: Integrated Spiritual Direction and Caregiving for Mind, Body, Spirit & Soul is a unique combination of spiritual direction and guidance, Healing Care Ministries Formational Prayer, worshipful movement and embodied prayer, and Trauma Sensitive YogaFaith—all with a body-focused and Christ-centered perspective. With over two decades of experience in both ministry and body-oriented work, Jody works with individuals to live fully-embodied and whole-hearted lives. * a word about hands-on adjustments: it is very common for yoga teachers to offer hands-on adjustments to help students with alignment and form. With trauma-informed yoga philosophy in mind, Jody offers very little hands-on adjustments, finding that many visual cues can be given without physically having to touch the student. Permission is always gained before adjustments are made. She also uses doTerra essential oils in her classes and private sessions, and again, permission is gained before application.
